DRP40-C 2.4 GHz radio CNC touch probe supports automated workpiece setup and on-machine measurement using a dedicated receiver. Features include an 8 m operating range, 83 frequency channels, IP68 sealing and specified repeatability below 1 μm.
DRP40-C Radio CNC Touch Probe from Qidu Probing is designed to support automated workpiece setup, datum setting and contact measurement on CNC machining centers. The probe sends trigger signals to a dedicated receiver using 2.4 GHz radio transmission, so communication does not rely on the direct optical line of sight required by infrared probe systems.
The radio system uses smart frequency hopping across 83 frequency channels and has a specified operating range of 8 m. M-code activation allows the probe to be incorporated into programmed probing routines when suitable CNC interface connections and measurement macros are available.
The DRP40-C provides specified repeatability below 1 μm when tested with a 50 mm stylus at 50–200 mm/min. A 40 mm probe body, IP68-rated sealing and two 14250 lithium batteries support use in machine-tool environments.
Qidu provides application assessment, installation guidance and CNC integration support to help machine builders, integrators and machining teams configure the system for their equipment.

The DRP40-C is designed for automated workpiece setup, datum setting, alignment and contact measurement on CNC machining centers. When integrated with suitable CNC measurement macros, the probe can support automated probing operations directly on the machine.
The DRP40-C transmits probe signals to a dedicated receiver using 2.4 GHz radio communication. The system uses smart frequency hopping across 83 frequency channels. The receiver must be correctly connected and configured with the machine control system.
The DRP40-C has a specified radio transmission range of 8 m. Actual communication reliability depends on factors such as receiver positioning, machine enclosure structure and radio interference.
The specified repeatability is below 1 μm when tested with a 50 mm stylus at probing speeds between 50 and 200 mm/min. Repeatability describes measurement consistency under defined conditions and should not be interpreted as absolute measurement accuracy.
The DRP40-C uses two 14250 lithium batteries. Its specified standby battery life is 650 days. At 3,000 trigger operations per day, the published battery-life figure is 330 days. Battery life decreases with more frequent probe activation and use.
Qidu provides CNC integration support for major controller families, including FANUC and Siemens. However, compatibility of the DRP40-C with any particular machine requires confirmation of the controller model, receiver interface, activation settings and measurement macros.
