DOP40-PRO infrared CNC touch probe supports automated workpiece setup and on-machine measurement. Featuring repeatability below 1 μm under specified test conditions, 360° optical transmission, a 5 m operating range and IP68 protection, it is designed for CNC machining centers.
DOP40-PRO Infrared CNC Touch Probe from Qidu Probing is designed for automated workpiece setup, positioning and on-machine measurement in CNC machining centers. Using infrared optical transmission, the probe communicates with a dedicated receiver to transfer measurement signals to the machine control system.
With specified repeatability below 1 μm using a 50 mm stylus at probing speeds of 50–200 mm/min, the DOP40-PRO supports repeatable contact measurements when correctly installed and calibrated. Its 360° optical transmission envelope and operating range of up to 5 m provide flexibility for receiver positioning within the machine enclosure, subject to suitable optical visibility.
The probe features IP68-rated protection, a compact 40 mm body diameter and battery-powered operation using two 14250 lithium batteries.
Developed for CNC machine-tool applications, the DOP40-PRO can be used for workpiece referencing, feature measurement and setup verification. Qidu also provides installation guidance and technical assistance for CNC integration, measurement macros and troubleshooting.

The DOP40-PRO is an infrared optical touch probe designed for workpiece positioning, datum setting and on-machine measurement in CNC machining centers. It helps automate contact measurement operations when integrated with appropriate CNC measurement cycles.
The specified repeatability is below 1 μm when tested with a 50 mm stylus at probing speeds between 50 and 200 mm/min. Actual measurement performance depends on installation, calibration, stylus configuration and operating conditions.
The probe uses infrared optical transmission to communicate with its dedicated receiver. The receiver connects to the machine control system. Proper receiver positioning and optical visibility are important for reliable signal transmission.
Integration depends on the machine configuration, controller I/O, receiver wiring and available measurement macros. The specific installation should be reviewed with Qidu before ordering.
