The DOP40 from Qidu Metrology is an infrared optical touch probe with triggering in the ±X, ±Y, and +Z directions. Its specified repeatability is below 1 μm when tested with a 50 mm stylus at a speed of 50–200 mm/min. Infrared optical signal transmission provides a stated operating range of 5 m and a 360° transmission envelope.
Trigger force is 0.5–0.9 N in the XY plane and 6.2 N in Z. The specified protective travel is ±12.5° in the XY plane and 6.2 mm in Z. The probe has IP68 sealing and an operating temperature range of 0–60°C. It weighs 220 g without the shank and uses two 14250 lithium batteries. The specification lists a trigger life exceeding 10 million activations. Product images show the probe alongside a separate cabled receiver, with an additional view showing the stylus fitted.
